Evelyne Gauvin’s practice focuses mainly on construction law. She is involved in a wide variety of files regarding surety bonds as well as insurance law. She serves a diverse clientele comprised of major insurance companies, owners as well as general and specialized contractors.
As part of her role, she develops, in close collaboration with the firm’s senior lawyers, negotiation, representation and dispute resolution strategies, specifically adapted for each case. She thus participates in the negotiation, the drafting of legal opinions and the representations before the courts of litigious cases.
Graduate of the prestigious University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Ms. Gauvin was a distinguished student who repeatedly featured on the University of Ottawa’s Dean’s Honour List and earned various distinctions at advocacy competitions. In addition to winning the Guy-Guérin Cup, she was presented with the “Best Examination” award at the provincial level. On the national scale, she received the “Best Opening Statement” award at the Sopinka Cup.
